Mayibongwe Geqeza

Mayibongwe Geqeza is a seasoned financial professional currently serving as the Senior Manager of Financial Services at Eastern Cape Development Corporation since April 2021, focusing on developmental finance for small, medium, and micro enterprises in the region. Prior to this, Mayibongwe held the position of Financial Manager at Veolia Water Solutions and Technologies South Africa from July 2018 to March 2021 and at Ash Resources (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of Lafarge, from December 2014 to June 2018. Mayibongwe's career began as a Trainee Accountant at SizweNtsaluba VSP from 2004 to 2007, followed by roles as a Financial Accountant and Internal Auditor at Lafarge Industries South Africa from June 2008 to November 2014. Mayibongwe Geqeza holds a B.Com Honours degree in Commerce (Accounting) from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, completed in 2003.
