Brandt Vettel

Brandt Vettel serves as the Chief Data Officer at the Metropolitan Council of the Twin Cities since 2017, where Brandt has developed the Enterprise Data and Analytics vision and built a strategic data roadmap for a workforce of 5,000 employees serving over three million residents. Concurrently, Brandt coaches boys' basketball at Chanhassen High School, focusing on mentoring student-athletes in teamwork, sportsmanship, and resilience. Prior experience includes roles as IT Director and various managerial positions at Bluestem Brands, where Brandt significantly contributed to the company's growth to $2 billion in revenue while implementing key data and payment systems. Brandt has also held positions at Eschelon Telecom, Wells Fargo, the Office of Minnesota Secretary of State, General Mills, TeleTech, and Northstar Computer Forms Inc, showcasing expertise in data architecture, application development, and business intelligence. Brandt holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Evangel University.
