Matthew Shimizu

Matthew Shimizu is a seasoned professional in clinical trial data management with extensive experience at the ECOG-ACRIN Cancer Research Group since April 2014. Currently serving as Project Leader, Matthew oversees data management activities across multiple disease sites, collaborating with various stakeholders including project coordinators, managers, and pharmaceutical partners to ensure accurate data collection and review. Previously, Matthew held roles as Project Coordinator and Project Manager, focusing on melanoma trials and managing data for a large phase III clinical trial, respectively. Prior experience includes serving as Data Manager at the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group, where responsibilities involved reviewing patient charts for compliance and assessing treatment adherence. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Penn State University, obtained in 2009.
