Eastern General Hospital
To enhance healthcare for residents in the eastern part of Singapore, SingHealth is developing the new Eastern General Hospital (EGH), an acute general hospital focused on providing person-centred care to patients and the community. EGH will be located next to the Bedok North MRT station (Downtown Line), bounded by Bedok Reservoir Road and Bedok North Road. When our hospital is ready around 2029 - 2030, it will provide a comprehensive range of clinical specialties and healthcare services covering the spectrum of acute and secondary care including emergency, inpatient and outpatient specialist services. We will also work closely with Eastern Community Hospital (ECH), a community hospital on the same healthcare campus that will provide continuing care, rehabilitative care and palliative care services. Together, EGH and ECH – collectively known as the EGH Campus – aims to help patients get well and seamlessly re-integrate back home, as well as empower the community to better manage their health.
