Mark has worked in various roles such as Ground Search and Rescue, Advanced Care Paramedic, and Operations Supervisor. Mark's experience includes providing medical coverage to remote industrial worksites, dispatching ambulances, and responding to emergencies as a volunteer. Mark holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and multiple diplomas in Paramedicine and Emergency Medical Technology.

As of April 1, 2023, all regional health authorities and the Newfoundland and Labrador Centre for Health Information are transitioning to a single provincial health authority. _________ Eastern Health is the largest, integrated health authority in Newfoundland and Labrador employing approximately 13,000 dedicated employees, over 700 medical staff, and is supported by more than 2,000 volunteers, including members of numerous auxiliaries and fundraising foundations.
