Christy Walsh

Christy Walsh has extensive experience in the field of occupational therapy and disability support, currently serving in multiple roles at Eastern Health since March 2018, including Disability Liaison Officer and Acting Clinical Risk Manager in Comprehensive Care. Prior to this, Christy worked as an Occupational Therapist at LearnAbility (Vic) from June 2018 to June 2022, focusing on multi-sensory structured language instruction for children with learning difficulties. Additional experience includes serving as Education Support for the Department of Education & Training in Victoria, specializing in assisting children with complex disabilities in mainstream classrooms, and owning a franchise with In the Booth from March 2011 to September 2016. Christy began a career as an Occupational Therapist with Queensland Health from November 1998 to November 2006. Christy holds a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy from The University of Queensland and has completed additional training in multi-sensory structured language. Currently, Christy is pursuing a Graduate Certificate in Leadership - Health & Human Services at the University of Tasmania.
