Karen Mardegan

Karen Mardegan currently serves as the Director of Clinical Governance, Corporate Services, Accreditation and Assurance at Eastern Health, a role held since April 2021. Previously, Mardegan has held various positions in quality and risk management, including as Director of Quality, Planning & Innovation and Associate Director of Quality Planning & Innovation in surgery at the same organization. Experience also includes a role at The Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital focused on risk and quality, and multiple positions at Austin Health, culminating in the Associate Director of Quality. Mardegan's educational background includes a Doctor of Public Health from La Trobe University, a Master of Nursing, and a Graduate Diploma in Critical Care Nursing from RMIT University, as well as a Bachelor of Nursing with honors from La Trobe University.
