Loren Swartzendruber

Loren Swartzendruber has extensive experience in leadership roles within educational and religious organizations. Serving as President Emeritus and previously President of Eastern Mennonite University since July 2003, Loren has significantly shaped the institution's direction. Loren also worked as a Senior Business Development Associate at Secure Solar Futures from May 2017 to December 2023. Prior leadership roles include President of Hesston College from July 1993 to June 2003 and Associate Executive Secretary of Mennonite Board Of Education from June 1983 to June 1993. Loren's pastoral experience includes serving as Lead Pastor at Salford Mennonite Church from June 1978 to June 1983. Academic credentials include a Doctor of Ministry in Leadership Studies from a theological seminary, a Master of Divinity from Eastern Mennonite Seminary, and a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Arts from Eastern Mennonite University.
