Warren Yehl has extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Warren started their career in 2009 as an Administrative Specialist at DeTar Healthcare System. In 2011, they joined Brownwood Regional Medical Center as an Administrative Specialist and later became an Assistant CEO. In 2013, Warren Yehl moved to Eastern New Mexico Medical Center as the Chief Operating Officer. Warren then served as the Chief Operating Officer at MountainView Regional Medical Center from 2015 to 2017. In 2017, they became the Interim Chief Executive Officer at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center, and in 2018, they assumed the role of the Chief Executive Officer. Additionally, Warren Yehl worked as a Hospital Executive at Community Health Systems starting in 2009.

Warren Yehl earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communication and Ancient Mediterranean Studies from Trinity University, where they studied from 2003 to 2007.
