The Public Health Team at the Eastern Ontario Health Unit (EOHU) focuses on promoting and protecting community health by preventing diseases and injuries and advocating for safe and healthy environments. Comprising Public Health Nurses, Registered Nurses, Medical Officers, Epidemiologists, and various health and environmental specialists, the team collaborates on initiatives like health education, disease tracking, vaccination programs, and public health policy development. They work closely with local partners to implement effective health services and interventions, contributing to the overall well-being and safety of Eastern Ontario residents.
