Michael Thomas

Dr. Michael Thomas currently serves as Associate Vice President for Marketing, Enrollment, and Communications. He brings to the role academic backgrounds in psychology and business, as well as professional experience in applied marketing, clinical psychology, and entrepreneurial business.

Dr. Thomas first joined the Eastern University faculty in 2010 as an Assistant Professor of Psychology. From 2014-2017, he served as Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning, and then became the Chief Marketing and Communications Officer in 2017. He began his current position as Associate Vice President for Marketing, Enrollment, and Communications in 2019.

A native of the Philadelphia area, Dr. Thomas received his Bachelor's degree in Biblical Studies from Cairn University. He then earned his Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from Regent University. Dr. Thomas also holds an MBA in Management from Eastern University.

Prior to joining Eastern, Michael worked as a Co-owner and Chief Operating Officer at Dine Eating Disorder Services, Administrator at Monte Nido & Affiliates, Director of Program at Program HEAL: Help to Eat, Accept, and Live, and as Founder and Director of Recovery Spark.

Dr. Thomas lives in Ardmore with his wife Lindley and their three children.
