Joanne Cassar

Joanne Cassar has a strong background in governance and internal audit. Joanne has held several roles at Eastleigh Borough Council, starting as a Principal Auditor in 2006 and progressing to Head of Internal Audit in 2015. Joanne then became the Executive Head of Governance & Monitoring Officer in 2021, before assuming their current position as Service Director - Governance and Support (Monitoring Officer) in 2023. Prior to their time at Eastleigh Borough Council, Joanne worked as a Senior Internal Auditor at Hampshire County Council from 2002 to 2006 and as an Income Officer & Team Manager from 1998 to 2002.

Joanne Cassar attended Barton Peveril Sixth Form College from 1995 to 1997, where they pursued A-levels and studied English Language, Maths & Statistics, and Business Studies.
