Danish Fazal

Danish Fazal, P.Eng is a seasoned chemical engineer with a diverse background in process engineering and project management. Currently serving as a Senior Chemical Engineer at Eastman since January 2023, Danish leads the Regioselectivity Acylation of Cellulose-based Esters (RACE) scale-up project, focusing on mass balance, stoichiometric calculations, PFDs, and kinetic modeling. Previously, Danish held roles at IKO Industries and Sherwin-Williams, managing the commissioning of industrial equipment and completing significant continuous improvement projects, achieving validated savings exceeding $1.5 million. Danish's early career includes positions as Project Coordinator and Process Chemist at Protective Industrial Polymers, Inc., and a Laboratory Assistant at Public Health Ontario. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from McMaster University and several certificates in lean tools and Excel.
