Jung Hyun Park

Jung Hyun (Jay) Park, Ph.D. has a strong background in research and development, with experience in various industries. Jung Hyun (Jay) currently holds a position at Eastman as a Principal Application Research Scientist in the Care Solutions, Additive and Functional Products department. Prior to that, they worked at Shiseido as a Principal Scientist in the Physical Measurement & Skin Care Innovation team. Jung Hyun (Jay) also worked at L'Oréal as an Associate Principal Scientist in Applied Research. Earlier in their career, they held positions at Sterilex Corporation and The Lubrizol Corporation, where they worked as a Senior Formulation Chemist and Senior Scientist, respectively. Dr. Park's academic experience includes a position as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist in Biomedical Engineering at Columbia University.

Jung Hyun (Jay) first obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Seoul National University, where they studied from 1995 to 2001. Jung Hyun (Jay) then pursued a Master of Science degree in Materials Science and Engineering at Stanford University from 2002 to 2004. Finally, they attended the University of Pennsylvania from 2004 to 2009, where they earned their Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering.
