Kate Allen

Kate Allen has extensive experience in the field of chemistry, currently serving as Manager of Global Resin Development at Eastman since April 2015, where roles have included Group Leader for Interlayers and Scale-up, Principal Chemist, and Senior Chemist. Prior to this, a postdoctoral research associate position at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill involved exploring diimine catalysts for polymerization processes. Academic contributions also include advanced research at the University of Washington, focusing on late transition metal complexes for C-H bond activation during a PhD in Organometallic Chemistry. An early research role at Boise State University involved synthesizing novel ligand scaffolds. Kate Allen holds a PhD in Organometallic Chemistry from the University of Washington and a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from Boise State University.
