Tip Clifton began their career in 1985 as a Program Manager at the USAF Electronic Security Command, where they managed technology support and development programs for field sites worldwide and was a command expert on Artificial Intelligence. In 1990, they joined the Defense Intelligence Agency/Joint National Intelligence Development Staff (JNIDS) as a Program Manager, where they rapidly prototyped advanced analytical solutions to organizations within the military intelligence community and managed $10M in programs delivering innovation to analysts at the Joint Unified Commands J2s. In 1994, they became the VP of Strategic Innovation at ISX Corporation. Finally, in 1999, they took on the role of CEO at Eastport Analytics, Inc.
Tip Clifton attended Barnstable High School from 1977 to 1981. Tip then went on to Harvard University, where they earned an AB in CS/Cognitive Science from 1981 to 1985. Finally, they obtained an MBA in Technology Transfer from The University of Texas at San Antonio from 1987 to 1989.
