Tony Smythe

Tony Smythe serves as the Managing Director of Eastside Radio 89.7FM since December 2007, overseeing funding initiatives and future business development, as well as managing major broadcast projects and ICT advancements. Previously, Tony held the role of Station Manager at Eastside Radio, significantly contributing to the station's community-focused programming. Additionally, Tony is a judge for the ARIA Awards Voting Academy, was the Festival Director for the Global Rhythms Music Festival from 2009 to 2019, and has held board positions with the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia. Earlier career experience includes presenting and producing multiple programs at FBi Radio and coordinating music at 2RRR. Tony Smythe holds a Commerce degree with a focus on Economics and Marketing from the University of Sydney.
