Charmaine Choy

Charmaine Choy has a diverse work experience in the finance and investment industry. Charmaine is currently working at Eastspring Investments, where they started in December 2020 as an Assistant Manager, Portfolio Specialist before being promoted to the role of Manager, Portfolio Specialist in April 2023.

Before joining Eastspring Investments, Charmaine worked at Preqin from June 2014 to November 2020. Charmaine started as a Research Analyst and subsequently became a Senior Research Analyst. In January 2020, they were promoted to Associate Vice President, APAC Fund Manager Data, a role they held until leaving the company.

Charmaine's earliest work experience was at United Overseas Bank Limited, where they worked as a Junior Product Manager from September 2013 to May 2014.

Charmaine Choy completed their education at various institutions. Charmaine obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Finance from the University of London from 2009 to 2013. In 2011, they attended The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) for a course on E-Business in the Digital Age. Prior to that, they attended Meridian Junior College from 2007 to 2008 and obtained a GCE A-Level qualification. Charmaine completed their GCE O-Levels at Tanjong Katong Girls' School from 2003 to 2006.

In addition to their formal education, Charmaine Choy also holds several certifications. Charmaine obtained the certification for Advanced Responsible Investment Analysis from PRI Academy in June 2023. In December 2022, they completed the Applied Responsible Investment certification from the same institution. Charmaine has also obtained certifications in CMFAS M5 (Rules & Regulations for Financial Advisory Services) from the Singapore College Of Insurance in March 2021 and CMFAS M3 (Rules & Regulations for Fund Management) from the Institute of Banking & Finance Singapore in February 2021. Furthermore, they obtained the Fundamentals of Alternative Investments certification from the CAIA Association in November 2020. Lastly, Charmaine Choy holds Grade 8 Theory of Music certification from ABRSM obtained in 2005, and Grade 8 Piano certification from the same institution obtained in September 2004.
