Kar Joon Cheah

Kar Joon Cheah has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Kar Joon began their career as an Instructor at MicroNet Computer Center, teaching courses on software usage and programming. Kar Joon then worked as a Learning Services Specialist at Comtrain Computer Academy.

Moving forward, Kar Joon Cheah joined InfoConnect Sdn Bhd as a Senior Software Application Engineer, where they were involved in the development of the company's in-house document management web application. Kar Joon later joined TSYS as an Analyst, working on the company's in-house credit card management web applications.

Kar Joon Cheah then joined Great Eastern Life as a Senior Software Engineer, where they were responsible for the maintenance and enhancement of the organization's auto underwriting rule-based engine. Kar Joon also acted as the main point of contact for enhancement requests related to the engine.

After that, Kar Joon Cheah joined Manulife Technology & Services as a Senior Software Engineer, supporting the Sales Illustration Proposal System and kick-starting a Learning Management System project for Manulife Indonesia.

Subsequently, Kar Joon Cheah worked at OCBC Bank as a System Analyst, involved in projects on the bank's consumer internet banking website and mobile banking apps. Kar Joon was responsible for requirements gathering, technical discussions, and acting as the main contact person for vendors and business users.

Kar Joon Cheah then joined Ge-Shen Corporation Berhad as an IT Team Lead, where they led IT development and infrastructure activities. Kar Joon also acted as the Scrum Master and was the go-to person for all IT-related implementations.

Currently, Kar Joon Cheah is working at Eastspring Investments as a Manager, Application Support & Development. Kar Joon'sresponsibilities include being the application support contact point for the organization's web trading platform, internal applications, and reporting requirements. Kar Joon is also the go-to application integration point of contact for new projects and software systems.

Overall, Kar Joon Cheah has gained extensive experience in various roles related to software development, application support, project management, and team leadership throughout their career.

Kar Joon Cheah earned a Bachelor of Information Technology degree in Computer Software Development from the University of Southern Queensland, where they studied from 2002 to 2004.
