Eating Disorders Victoria
Emma Reid has extensive experience in healthcare management and mental health services, currently serving as Chair and Deputy Chair at Eating Disorders Victoria since June 2023 and as Chair of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Interim Regional Body for the Hume region with the Victorian Department of Health since March 2022. Emma has held mentoring roles with the Australasian College of Health Service Management since March 2019 and has been on the Board of Directors at Aspire Support Services since January 2018. Previous leadership positions include General Manager for Financial Independence and Capability at Good Shepherd Australia New Zealand, Service Manager at Mercy Health Australia, and Senior Director of Operations at Royal Darwin Hospital. Emma also held various roles within the Northern Territory Government, including General Manager of Mental Health and has a rich educational background with degrees in Social Work and Health Administration. Emma is currently pursuing a Professional Doctorate in Social Work at La Trobe University.

Eating Disorders Victoria (EDV) is unique in Victoria in providing a comprehensive support and information service on all aspects of eating disorders. EDV incorporates a unique approach to the provision of clinical and non-clinical support services through a blend of qualified professionals and lived experience of employees and volunteers. The approach and services provided by EDV have a direct impact on the mental health and well-being of thousands of Victorians every year.
