Jonathan Matthews

Jonathan Matthews is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in leadership roles across various organizations in the insurance and underwriting sectors. Currently serving as the Group Chief Executive Officer at Eaton Gate MGU since July 2024, Jonathan previously held the position of Group COO at Eaton Gate & Vigilis Groups from June 2016 to July 2024. Prior to that, Jonathan was the Chief Operating Officer at Pioneer Underwriting Limited from April 2013 to June 2016 and served as Group Chief Operating Officer at Ryan Specialty Group Europe from August 2011 to April 2013. Earlier roles include Chief Risk Officer at Liberty Syndicates from September 2008 to September 2011 and Head of Risk Management at Beazley Group plc from 2004 to 2008. Jonathan began a career in finance as a Chartered Accountant at PricewaterhouseCoopers from 2000 to 2003.
