Prior to this role, Allen worked as a Territory Sales Engineer for GE through Castleman Power from 2010 to 2011, and held several positions at Rockwell Automation, including Sr Sales Engineer in Austin, Texas, and District Channel Manager in Houston, Texas, as well as Sales Engineer in Tennessee. Allen's military service includes being a US Army Officer in the U.S. Army Reserve from 1985 to 1988. Allen holds an MBA from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, obtained while working full time, and a BS in Industrial Distribution from Texas A&M University.
