Global Technology Manager - Digital Engineering at Eaton

Uyiosa Abusomwan, Ph.D., is a seasoned professional in digital engineering and product management, currently serving as the Global Technology Manager for Digital Engineering at Eaton since November 2021, leading initiatives to enhance engineering efficiency across a $750M+ portfolio. Concurrently, Uyiosa holds the position of Professor of Practice in Product Management at Rice University, contributing to the Center for Engineering Leadership. Previously, Uyiosa worked at Schlumberger for seven years, where significant contributions included developing digitalization strategies and engineering design automation. Earlier experience includes roles at Carnegie Mellon University as an NSF Research Fellow, and mechanical engineering positions at Joy Mining Machinery and the National Institute of Standards and Technology. Uyiosa earned a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, complemented by a Master’s degree from the same institution and a Bachelor’s degree from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. Additionally, Uyiosa participated in the OwlSpark Startup Accelerator program at Rice University in 2023.
