Peter Knutson

Peter Knutson is an accomplished academic and professional in the field of communication and journalism, currently serving as an Assistant Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire since August 2014, where responsibilities include research, teaching, and advising. Additionally, Peter has been a Play By Play Broadcaster for the Eau Claire Express Baseball since January 2014 and previously held the role of Digital Content Manager & Sports Director at iHeartMedia from June 2015 to November 2020. Peter's extensive broadcasting experience is complemented by a strong background in academic support and sports communication, having tutored student athletes at the University of Kansas and served as a Play-by-Play Announcer for various KU sports. Peter holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Organizational Communication from the University of Kansas, alongside a Master's and Bachelor's degree in the same field from Central Michigan University and Saginaw Valley State University, respectively.
