Jialin Zhang is a seasoned scientist and project manager with a diverse background in interdisciplinary research coordination, knowledge exchange, and conservation. Currently serving at Eawag since October 2024, Jialin previously held roles at the Leibniz Centre for Tropical Marine Research (ZMT) GmbH, where positions included Postdoc and Scientific Coordinator, and Knowledge Exchange Specialist. Notable experience includes consulting for the Wildlife Conservation Society on the economic impacts of China's ivory trade and researching environmental impacts of Chinese investments in Myanmar. Jialin's conservation efforts have involved managing transboundary projects in Southeast Asia and securing significant funding through proposal writing.
