Sahar Talebi

Sahar Talebi is an experienced applied researcher and machine learning scientist currently working at eBay since January 2021. With a strong background in data science, Sahar held the position of Senior Data Scientist at Citi from February 2018 to January 2021, focusing on machine learning algorithms for risk management. Prior roles include Data Scientist at Sears Holdings Corporation and Research & Data Scientist at Wise Systems, Inc., where Sahar developed predictive models and optimization solutions in the retail industry and on-demand delivery services, respectively. Earlier experience includes a Data Scientist Intern role at Cox Automotive Inc. and research and teaching assistant positions at NC State University, where a PhD in Computer Science and a Master's degree in Operations Research were obtained. Additionally, a Natural Language Processing Nanodegree was completed from Udacity in 2019.
