Xin Zhou

Xin Zhou is a seasoned machine learning engineer with extensive experience in the fields of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. Currently employed at eBay since August 2025, Xin focuses on ML/AI, large language models (LLMs), and risk and compliance. Prior to eBay, Xin worked at MITRE from January 2023 to August 2025, specializing in ML/AI, LLMs, and AI security, as well as full stack development. Experience at Sandia National Laboratories included research and development in AI for cybersecurity, where Xin engaged in malware analysis and risk analysis, and was involved in generative models and code generation from June 2019 to December 2022. Xin's early career involved research at the University of Houston, where work included natural language processing, phishing detection, and computer vision. Xin holds both a Bachelor's Degree and a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Houston, complemented by a minor in Math.
