Dave Hegeman

Dave Hegeman has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and roles. Dave is currently serving as the Co-Founder and VP of Engineering at Ebb Carbon, where they work on reversing ocean acidification and capturing atmospheric CO2. Prior to Ebb Carbon, from 2019 to 2022, Dave held the position of Principal at Manufactory, utilizing their extensive experience in engineering, product design, and manufacturing across various sectors.

Before Manufactory, Dave worked at Tesla for nearly a decade. Dave held several mechanical design engineering roles within the Battery Engineering department, including Manager Mechanical Design Engineer, Staff Mechanical Design Engineer, and Sr. Mechanical Engineer. Prior to Tesla, from 2000 to 2010, Dave served as a Sr. Research & Development Engineer at Novare Surgical Systems.

In the late 90s, Dave worked as a Marine Engineer at SAIC/MariPro and as a Senior Stationary Engineer at Solar Turbines. Dave also gained experience as a Senior Life Support Engineer at the Aquarium of the Bay and as a Quality Control Inspector at Kinetics Systems, Inc.
