Ian O'Loughlin has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Ian began their career at FYE in 2004 as an Assistant Manager, where they worked until 2007. Ian then joined OEM Controls in 2006 as a Junior Software Developer, where they were responsible for rapid client-side application development, server-side application development, and database query development. Ian held this role until 2013 before being promoted to Software Engineer at the same company. As a Software Engineer, Ian worked in a tight-knit team of developers, delivering client and server-side applications to top construction companies. Ian focused on object-oriented design and reusable code. In 2016, Ian transitioned to Fosdick Fulfillment as a Software Developer, where they primarily worked with Microsoft Visual Studio 2015 ASP.NET development, MSSQL Server 2008 R2 development, and utilized both VB.NET and C# languages. Finally, in 2018, Ian joined ebbo as a Software Engineer and subsequently moved up to the role of Senior Software Engineer and then Senior Software Engineer II.

Ian O'Loughlin's education history includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Charter Oak State College, obtained from 2013 to 2015. Prior to that, they attended Southern Connecticut State University from 2003 to 2012, studying Computer Science but not obtaining a degree.

Additionally, Ian O'Loughlin has obtained several certifications. In April 2020, they completed the "Master .NET and C# Unit Testing with NUnit and Moq" certification from Udemy. In February 2020, they earned the ".NET Core Microservices" certification, also from Udemy. In December 2019, Ian obtained the "Service-Oriented Architecture" certification from Coursera, along with the "Software Design and Architecture Specialization" certification. In November 2019, they obtained the "Software Architecture" certification, and in October 2019, they completed the "Design Patterns" certification. Finally, in September 2019, they earned the "Object-Oriented Design" certification, all from Coursera.
