Marie-Claude Houle

President & CEO at EBC

A recipient of a civil engineering degree at Laval University in 1986 and an MBA, Marie-Claude Houle has been President and CEO of EBC since 1999.

When she finished her studies, Marie-Claude Houle began her career in the family business that her father Fernand Houle and uncle Germain Houle founded in 1968. She began as a project manager in the Building division. Upon receiving her MBA, she became Quality Director where she made her mark implementing a quality management system at EBC. She then held the position of Assistant to the Vice President of Construction, the Project Director, Building Division, and finally, President and CEO of the company. Ms. Houle has deeply involved in her industry and the community. She serves on several Boards of Directors and supports social causes including the United Way and Le Chaînon.

As President, she galvanizes her team and creates wealth. Her passion for her work and her desire to surpass herself rubs off on the more than 1500 Jobsite workers and 400 office employees. Her humanity and determination inspire her peers and employees. Ms. Houle has received numerous awards, most notably the Distinction of the Quebec Employers Council Entrepreneurs Club in 2016, the Summa Prize from Laval University in 2010, and the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Grand Prize in the Construction category in 2008.
