Santiago Insua

Santiago Insua is a seasoned IT professional with extensive experience in cloud solutions and systems engineering. Currently serving as Hybrid Cloud Manager and Sr. Cloud Solutions Architect at the European Bioinformatics Institute (EMBL-EBI) since December 2016, Santiago specializes in AWS, GCP, and OpenStack environments. Previously, Santiago worked as a Cloud Engineer managing VMware, OpenStack, Kubernetes, and GCP infrastructures. Prior roles include Systems Engineer at the Institut für Klinische Molekularbiologie, IT Specialist in Bioinformatics at Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel, and Systems Engineer and Administrator at Accenture and Sopra Steria. Santiago has a strong foundation in systems administration and networking, with a focus on virtualization and storage solutions. Currently pursuing a Computer Science degree at Universitat Oberta de Catalunya and holds a Technician in Systems Administration diploma from Liceo "La Paz."
