Shradha Saraf

Shradha Saraf, PhD, is a bioinformatician currently working at the European Bioinformatics Institute (EMBL-EBI) since February 2022, specializing in the analysis of DNA-seq data for cancer genomics and the development of bioinformatics methods and web frameworks for data analysis. Prior to this role, Shradha served as a bioinformatics engineer at Strand Life Sciences from August 2018 to February 2022. Shradha's academic background includes a PhD in Bioinformatics from the University of Calcutta (2015-2018), a Master of Science in Bioinformatics from Savitribai Phule Pune University (2009-2011), and a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Delhi (2006-2009). Additionally, Shradha worked as a senior research fellow at the ICGEB from November 2011 to March 2018, where notable projects included predicting novel miRNAs induced by the Tomato leaf curl New Delhi virus in Solanum lycopersicum using deep sequencing data.
