Bas van der Es

Bas van der Es serves as Exploration Manager and Consulting Geologist at EBN B.V. since June 2022, focusing on preparing maps for the Chalk play and Lower Cretaceous play in the Dutch North Sea sector. Prior to this role, from February 2006 to January 2022, Bas held several positions at Shell, including Venture Manager for Bulgaria and Team Lead for exploration in Brunei and West Siberia. Responsibilities included delivering the Bulgarian deep-water exploration program, leading exploration teams, managing technical reviews and risk assessments, and executing social investment programs. Earlier positions included Senior Exploration Geoscientist in Russia and Exploration Geologist in Sakhalin and Libya with Wintershall. Bas holds a degree from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
