Edward Wiarda

Edward Wiarda is an accomplished geophysicist with extensive experience in marine seismic imaging and processing, currently serving as President and Vice President of the European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers since June 2022. Since July 2021, Edward has worked as a Senior Geophysicist at EBN B.V. and previously held significant roles at Ecopetrol, including Principal Geophysicist for Land/Marine Seismic Imaging, where responsibilities included leading the Marine Seismic Delivery Team. Prior experience includes leadership positions at Schlumberger GeoSolutions, where Edward oversaw multi-disciplinary teams and advanced full-waveform inversion projects, notably improving imaging for the Statoil Mariner Joint Development Project. Edward's academic background includes a BSc and MSc in Geophysics and Geology from Utrecht University.
