Tusar Sahoo

Tusar Sahoo is a Petroleum Geoscientist with extensive experience in geo-scientific analysis and evaluation of petroleum prospectivity across various basins in New Zealand, including Canterbury, Great South, and Taranaki, since September 2012 at GNS Science. Responsibilities include seismic data interpretation, well log and facies analysis, geohazard assessment, and CO2 sequestration studies, among others. Prior experience includes roles as Senior Geoscientist and Geologist at Reliance Industries Ltd., where responsibilities encompassed seismic interpretation, reservoir modeling, and prospect evaluation in the Cambay and Krishna-Godavari basins in India. Tusar Sahoo holds a PhD in Geology from the University of Canterbury, alongside advanced degrees in Petroleum Exploration and Applied Geology from Indian Institutes of Technology, as well as a Bachelor's in Geology from Ravenshaw University.
