Stephen Lamport

Independent Non-Executive Director at Ecclesiastical Insurance

Stephen Lamport has an extensive and varied work history, having held positions in both the public and private sectors. Stephen is currently an Independent Non-Executive Director at Ecclesiastical Insurance.

Lamport began their career in 1974 with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, where they served as a Counsellor for 18 years. In 1992, they left the Foreign and Commonwealth Office to become Private Secretary to The Prince of Wales, a position they held for 10 years.

In 2002, Lamport left The Royal Household to join the Royal Bank of Scotland Business as a Director. Stephen held this position until 2007, when they left to join Painshill Park Trust.

Lamport spent one year with Painshill Park Trust before joining Sanctuary Counsel in 2008. Stephen remained with Sanctuary Counsel until 2018, when they joined Ecclesiastical Insurance as an Independent Non-Executive Director.

Stephen Lamport attended the University of Cambridge, where they studied history.
