Pete Pelter

Pete Pelter has extensive experience in the field of data science and analytics, starting as a Systems Engineer at Electronic Data Systems in 1994. Pete later worked as a Consultant at Merck, where they led backend development on the GenCord contract reporting system. Pete then moved on to First Consulting Group as a Technical Master III, working on various projects for pharmaceutical and healthcare industries. Pete transitioned to Vanguard Group Inc as a Senior Software Developer, Technical Lead, Oracle Database Administrator, and Data Science Tech Lead. At Sprint, they held roles such as Big Data Architect III and Manager of Big Data Architect and Data Science teams. Pete'smost recent role at WellSky was as Lead Advanced Analytics Architect, where they implemented the Applied Advanced Analytics and Insights platform. Currently, Pete is working at ECCO Select as the Principal Analytics Architect and Data Scientist, where they developed an NLP model to identify potential incidents, saving time and ensuring effective change request reviews. Additionally, they worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Oklahoma, mentoring students in the Data Science and Analytics program.

Pete Pelter holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Dayton, earned between 1990 and 1994. Pete later pursued a Master of Science in Data Science and Analytics from the University of Oklahoma, completed between 2015 and 2017. In addition to their degrees, Pete has obtained various certifications in data analysis, programming, and database administration from institutions such as Data Vault Alliance, Oracle, and Coursera between 2013 and 2018.
