Matthias Als

Matthias Als is a Senior Data Scientist at ECCO Shoes, specializing in data science, data analysis, and software development within the ECCO Data & AI department, leveraging advanced technologies in machine learning and optimization since August 2021. Previously, Matthias worked as a Full Stack Web Developer at ABC Softwork from November 2017 to June 2021, focusing on a B2B cloud platform for supply chain optimization. A project-based role as a Student Developer at Optivation ApS in early 2020 involved enhancing the accuracy of bulk carrier ships’ arrival time predictions using neural networks. Early experience as a Teaching Assistant at the IT-University of Copenhagen included planning and conducting workshops on LaTeX, Git, and object-oriented programming in Java. Matthias holds a Master of Science in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Science in Software Development from the IT-Universitetet i København, complemented by a summer school program in IoT Applications & Data Management at Politecnico di Torino.
