Strategic Partnerships & Fundraising at ECDI - Economic and Community Development Institute

Katie Laux currently serves as Strategic Partnerships & Fundraising at the Economic and Community Development Institute since February 2024. Prior to this role, Katie held managerial positions focused on volunteerism and employee campaigns at American Electric Power from January 2022 to March 2024, and directed visitor experience initiatives at the Wexner Center for the Arts from December 2015 to January 2022. Earlier experiences include leadership roles in events and business strategies at the Columbus Museum of Art, as well as development and field services at Prevent Blindness Ohio. Katie's career began with positions at the Greater Columbus Arts Council and Wright State University, where experience in festivals and athletic marketing was gained. Educational qualifications include a Master of Public Administration and Leadership and a graduate certificate in Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management from the John Glenn College of Public Affairs at The Ohio State University, along with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Wright State University. Katie also participated in Leadership Columbus programs in 2013-2014 and December 2019.
