John Lombardi

Vice President, Innovation at ECHO, Payments Simplified®

John Lombardi has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Starting in 2007, they worked as an Associate and then Senior Coordinator at the National Quality Forum. In this role, they created and administered surveys, analyzed data, and presented findings to Executive Leadership and the Board of Directors.

In 2011, John joined Precision Influence Technologies, Inc. as a Research Analyst. Here, they conducted research and analysis in their respective field.

From 2012 to 2013, John worked as a Senior Dedicated Advisor at The Advisory Board Company, where they developed relationships with hospitals and health systems to improve physician engagement and financial alignment. John also provided consulting and training on engagement and alignment improvement tactics.

John's next position was at the Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare (CAQH) from 2013 to 2015. Here, they held two roles: Senior Project Advisor and Project Management Consultant. In these roles, they played an integral part in the development of healthcare operating rules, conducted detailed analyses, and facilitated/manage with over 140 participating entities. John also created initiatives to increase industry awareness and education, developed and delivered webinars and presentations, and managed the CORE Request Process.

In 2015, John joined Simplicity Payment Association as an Executive Director, overseeing overall operations and initiatives.

Currently, John is the Vice President of Innovation at ECHO, Payments Simplified®. John took on this role in March 2023. Additionally, they held the role of Executive Director, Simplicity at ECHO since February 2015.

Overall, John Lombardi has a strong background in project management, relationship building, strategic planning, and healthcare operations.

John Lombardi completed their Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at The George Washington University from 2003 to 2007. John went on to pursue further education and obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Psychology from Marymount University from 2009 to 2011.
