James Thuch Madhier

James Thuch Madhier is an accomplished social entrepreneur and leader in the field of clean technology and social innovation. As the CEO and Founder of Rainmaker Enterprise since October 2016, James has been instrumental in utilizing solar energy to provide safe water access and support regenerative agriculture in conflict-affected and vulnerable regions of Africa, particularly South Sudan. Additionally, James serves as a Fellow with Echoing Green and is a member of various advisory councils and initiatives, including Grand Challenges Canada and the Dahdaleh Institute for Global Health Research. Previous leadership roles include serving as a Board Member for Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières Canada and as Director of Strategic Partnerships at the African Trade Organization. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Peace, Conflict and Justice Studies from the University of Toronto and additional training in Systems Thinking and Leadership.
