Susannah Eastham

Managing Director, Programs at Echoing Green

Susannah manages the team disbursing capital, building community, and growing capacity in hundreds of leaders globally with a strong racial justice lens.

Susannah brings over 15 years of experience in global social impact and program direction. Her socially focused career includes designing and managing 20+ multi-year, multimillion-dollar programs. Her experience includes connecting a Rwandan village with the social enterprise Indego Africa, and leading ThinkImpact’s Scholars in rural South Africa, using Human Centered Design to partner with local social entrepreneurs and develop successful enterprises. She also lived in Liberia mapping the social enterprise and impact investing landscape and went on to manage a public-private partnership in Brazil for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Office for International and Philanthropic Innovation. Additionally, she engaged the community through alumni and volunteer programs for the nonprofit College Summit to increase low-income high school students’ college enrollments. Prior to joining Echoing Green, Susannah served as the Director of Membership and Programs at the Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs (ANDE) at the Aspen Institute building a network of organizations supporting small and growing business entrepreneurs in developing economies for over 9 years.

Susannah earned a BA from the University of Virginia, and an MBA focused on Global Development and Social Entrepreneurship from the Thunderbird School of Global Management.
