John Leo Kelly

John Leo Kelly has extensive work experience in the IT field. John Leo started their career as a Staff Network Administrator at General Dynamics Information Technology in 2004. John Leo then worked as a Lead Systems Programmer at DST Systems, where they provided system administration support for UNIX servers. John Leo was recognized for their improvements in streamlining maintenance tasks.

In 2009, John joined General Dynamics Information Technology again, this time as a Principal Network Administrator. After a year, they moved to Apex Systems as a Systems Architect, where they played a crucial role in converting server resources from physical to virtual space for the Federal Reserve System.

John then worked at Column Technologies as a Consultant, specializing in server automation and provisioning for Linux distributions. John Leo managed configuration management, patch management, and security compliance.

At NIC Inc., John served as a System Administrator/Programmer for a brief period before joining Assurant as a Linux System Engineer. In this role, they provided system administration services and offered support for a diverse range of servers.

From 2016 to 2021, John worked at Comcast VIPER as an Automation Architect. John Leo developed tools to support worldwide storage infrastructure for content delivery, increasing support capacity and freeing up resources for other tasks. John Leo also served as a subject matter expert for software development and system administration.

John's most recent role is at Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a System Engineer, where they worked from 2021 to 2023.

In 2023, John joined EchoStar Corporation as a Principal IT Administrator, their current position.

John Leo Kelly attended Loras College from 1996 to 2000, where they studied Journalism, Political Science, and History. John Leo did not obtain a degree during this time. In March 2021, they obtained a certification as a Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
