Massimiliano Turconi currently serves as the ECIIA President and is a board member and vice president of the European Confederation of Institutes of Internal Auditing. As Chief Audit Executive at TIM since June 2021, Massimiliano also holds a board member position at AIIA - Associazione Italiana Internal Auditors. Previous roles include Head of Group Internal Audit at Ferrero (2013-2021), Change Manager & Programme Portfolio Manager at Partesa s.r.l. (2012-2013), Senior Manager Global Audit at Heineken International (2005-2012), and Head of Internal Audit at Gruppo Sapio (2001-2004). Massimiliano began an auditing career with Arthur Andersen & Co. (1996-2001) and possesses educational credentials from INSEAD, London Business School, and LIUC - Università Cattaneo.

Our role is to enhance corporate governance by promoting the professional practice of internal auditing. Our members comprise 35 national institutes of internal auditing from countries that fall within the wider European region, representing 55, 000 members. The ECIIA's vision is to further the development of good Corporate Governance and Internal Audit at the European level, through knowledge sharing, developing key relationships, and impacting the regulatory environment.
