Richard Semancik

Richard Semancik is the Chief of Job Corps Services for Eckerd Connects. In this role, he works in collaboration with Odle Management to provide operational and strategic leadership to Job Corps campuses across the country. Job Corps helps eligible young people ages 16 through 24 complete their high school education, trains them for meaningful careers, and assists them with obtaining employment. Odle Management is a national Job Corps provider that merged with Eckerd Connects in March of 2020.

As part of the leadership team, he works to ensure that the overall mission and vision of the organization is achieved. Over the last 5 years, he has assisted the organization with the completion of three mergers and acquisitions which further enhanced workforce development programming and services. Richard has over 25 years of operational experience leading youth and young adult programs in residential settings that focused on providing services to enhance life, academic, vocational skills. Richard joined Eckerd Connects in 2015 after serving as the COO of Paxen Learning, a position he held since 2010. He successfully assisted with integrating the Paxen services into Eckerd Connects in January of 2015. Prior to joining Paxen, Richard served as Senior Vice President for G4S Youth Services, which acquired Sunshine Youth Services, a Tampa-based company he co-founded in 2000. Under his guidance, Sunshine Youth Services grew in nine years to become one of the largest providers of juvenile justice residential services in Florida. In addition to his professional experience, Richard holds a master’s degree in business from Nova Southeastern University and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of South Florida.
