Laura Spaventa Lewis

VP of Marketing at Eclipse Ventures

Laura is passionate about telling the human story behind technology.

She has spent her career building world-class brands in the form of creative content, PR strategy, messaging, customer marketing, social and digital marketing. Prior to Eclipse, Laura was the Director of Marketing for Unusual Ventures, where she built the brand from the ground up. Laura joined Unusual from AppDynamics, where she led the international PR team and strategy leading up to the eventual acquisition of the company by Cisco for $3.7B. Earlier in her career, Laura worked at LaunchSquad, a PR agency, which specializes in communications for high-growth startups, and was one of the original editors of Help a Reporter Out (HARO), a robust database of sources for journalists, which was eventually acquired by Vocus (now a part of Cision).

Originally from outside of Philadelphia, Laura graduated from Virginia Tech with a B.A. in Communication and a B.S. in Apparel Merchandising. Outside of work, Laura loves exploring Northern California with her husband and daughter, cooking, reading, hiking and traveling.
