Technical Leader and Software Engineer for Networking Devices at Eclypsium

Daniel Chicco has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Daniel started their career at Discar SA as an Electronic Engineer working on embedded public communications billing devices. Daniel then moved to Motorola where they worked as a Software Engineer, developing VoIP phone client software integrated into Windows Mobile. Daniel also worked at Nimbuzz as a Senior Software Engineer, developing a chat, video, and voice communications client.

Afterwards, Daniel worked at Taller Technologies as a Senior Software Engineer, where they worked on various embedded projects, including research and implementation of multicore mutex, CAN driver, and UI localization. Daniel then joined IncluIT as an Embedded Android Tech Lead, working on the development of an in-vehicle infotainment system based on the Android Open Source Project.

Their most recent role is with Eclypsium, Inc. where they are a Technical Leader and Software Engineer for Networking Devices. Daniel leads a team in developing a sensor to scan networking devices for identification, vulnerabilities detection, and firmware analysis. Daniel primarily works with Python and integrates third-party libraries and tools to the product. Daniel is also responsible for the development of the core infrastructure and the analysis of data to create detection rules.

Throughout their career, Daniel has demonstrated technical leadership, coordination of tasks, design decision-making, code review, and effective communication skills. Daniel is experienced in working on all phases of a project, from Proof of Concept to maintenance, and has expertise in various programming languages and technologies such as C++, Objective-C, C#, Python, and Android.

Daniel Chicco obtained a High School degree in Mechanical Engineering Related Technologies/Technicians from Renault Technical School, which they attended from 1991 to 1996. Daniel then pursued an Engineer's Degree in Electronic at Universidad Nacional de Córdoba from 1997 to 2003. Additionally, they obtained a Diploma in Project Management from PMC College and Blas Pascal University in September 2005. Furthermore, they completed a Graduate Specialization in Software Engineering at Universidad Blas Pascal in December 2004.
