Ireri Rivas Mier y Teran is a seasoned professional with a robust background in supporting first-generation, low-income, immigrant, and undocumented students. Currently serving as a Program Officer at ECMC Foundation since May 2022, Rivas has previously held significant roles including Senior Program Manager at TheDream.US and Director of Student Support Services at The University of Chicago, where focus was placed on enhancing community support and fostering belonging among graduate and professional students. Rivas also has experience in various research and development roles, contributing to initiatives aimed at improving access and resources for marginalized communities. Rivas holds an M.A. in Literature from the University of Chicago and a B.A. in English and Art History from the University of Nevada, Reno.
