Freja Vamborg

Freja Vamborg is a Senior Climate Scientist at the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts, a position held since 2017, where they focus on the Copernicus Climate Change Service. Previously, Freja worked as a Research Scientist at the Max Planck Institute for Meteorology and held various roles including Research Scientist at the British Antarctic Survey and Trainee positions with the European Commission and CDP. They earned a Doktor rer. nat. (PhD) from the University of Hamburg between 2007 and 2011, and a Master of Science from the University of East Anglia in 2006. Freja's educational background also includes a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Cambridge, complemented by studies at schools in France, Belgium, and Sweden.
