Mrpharms Dr Set Hui Yong

Dr. Set Hui Yong has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Dr Set Hui currently holds the position of Global Head of Quality & Regulatory Affairs - Product Lifecycle Management at ECO ANIMAL HEALTH GROUP PLC since May 2022. Prior to this, they were the Head of Qualified Persons at Dechra Pharmaceuticals PLC from November 2020 to April 2022.

Before joining Dechra Pharmaceuticals PLC, Dr. Yong held several positions at RB (previously known as Reckitt Benckiser). Dr Set Hui worked as a Qualified Person / R&D Quality & Compliance Manager from October 2018 to October 2020 and as a Qualified Person / Release For Sale Manager from May 2015 to October 2018.

Dr. Yong's earlier roles include working as a Qualified Person / Pharmacist at Mawdsleys from September 2012 to April 2015, as a Qualified Person / Quality Control Manager / Pharmacist at Covance from June 2006 to August 2012, and as a Clinical Trials Pharmacist at Newcastle Upon Tyne NHS Foundation Trust from November 2005 to June 2006.

Dr Set Hui also gained experience as a Specials Pharmacist, Quality at Eldon Laboratories Ltd. from June 2003 to July 2005 and as a Contract Research Scientist at the University of Nottingham from December 2000 to June 2003. Dr. Set Hui Yong is a member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society, holding a MRPharmS qualification, and holds a PhD degree.

Dr Set Hui Yong has a strong educational background in the field of pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences. They obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences - Advanced Drug Delivery from the University of Nottingham. Prior to that, Dr Set Hui Yong completed their Preregistration Pharmacist degree at Kings Cross Hospital, focusing on Pharmacy. They also earned a Bachelor of Pharmacy Honours (BPharm (Hons)) degree from the University of Nottingham.

In addition to their academic achievements, Dr Set Hui Yong has obtained various certifications throughout their career. They are a registered pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and hold the qualification of a Pharmaceutical Qualified Person from the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency. Dr Set Hui Yong is also a member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society, holding the designation of MRPharmS since the year 2000.
